An extremely large sector of the medical industry is the pharmacy portion. Pharmacists focus their attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and life long learning to insure that patients receive the medication needed. As many other healthcare provider careers, there are many paths to choose from.

Our bodies have an electrical control system. The study of which is called electrophysiology. Specializing in the science the heart's electrical activity is cardiac electrophysiology.

Occupational therapists help people overcome challenges and have better physical life skills. This career path can sometimes be confused with physical therapists. As explained in this video, physical therapists help you be able to walk to the door, while an occupational therapist helps you open it.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons treat and repair issues in the face, head, neck, jaws, and mouth. They are specialists in both the hard and soft tissue areas. While some establish their educational foundation completely inside dental school, others may choose to pursue an even more rigorous route which includes a medical doctor (MD) degree.
